In the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula, in Massa Lubrense, right in the main square of our beautiful village, there is a kitchen where recipes, stories, and traditions have been shared for generations.

Mamma’s Cooking Experience is a small, family-run culinary experience where guests are welcomed not as customers, but as part of the family.

Our mamma will guide you step by step through the preparation of traditional recipes from the Sorrento Peninsula and the Campania region, the same dishes she learned from her mother and grandmother, and the same meals our family has been cooking at home for decades.

While mamma teaches you how to make fresh pasta, traditional sauces, and authentic local dishes, we will be by your side to welcome you, translate every step, and make sure you feel comfortable, relaxed, and ready to enjoy every moment.

You will cook together, laugh together, discover the secrets of our local cuisine, and finally sit down at the table to enjoy the meal you prepared, just like during a true Italian Sunday family lunch.

This is not a formal cooking school.
This is a true Italian experience.

Make sure to show up hungry :) From making calzones, ravioli, and meatballs to enjoying great wine and music, the entire experience was so much fun. They truly made us feel like family and right at home from the moment we arrived. Mamma’s tiramisu and the limoncello was absolutely incredible and the perfect ending to such a special experience. If you’re looking for a fun and hands on cooking class with the most incredible family in Sorrento/ Massa Lubrense, Italy… THIS IS IT! I honestly don’t even know where to begin because this was such a special experience. We came with our family of 11—kids ages 7 to 13, college-aged girls, and adults—and every single one of us said this was the highlight of our trip to Italy. From the second we walked in, we felt like we were part of their family. The class is run by a mother and her three daughters, and they are some of the warmest, kindest people we’ve ever met. They were so loving, patient with our kids, made everyone laugh, played great music, and the experience was very hands on. We made the most delicious Gnocchi and Ravioli, drank amazing italian wine, and could have literally stayed and hung out with this beautiful family all night. The food was incredible & so was the company. We loved that they shared all of their recipes with us so we can recreate the meal and remember such a perfect evening back home. What made this so much more than your “typical” cooking class was the love they put into it. You could feel it in everything they did and the way they worked together as a family and included ours as if we were part of theirs. There are so many amazing things to do on the Amalfi Coast, but if you’re lucky enough to spend an evening with this family, do it. It’s not just a cooking class—it’s an experience we’ll be talking about for years. Thank you for giving our family one of our favorite memories from Italy. ❤️

Mamma and her 3 daughters (Daniela, Valarie, and Francesca) were wonderful to work with and excellent in helping us learn how to make calzones, ravioli, and meatballs from scratch.
